Marek Cabin![]() |
![]() Along the banks of the Cedar River in Northern Michigan sits the Marek Cabin. A comfortable retreat with the soul of a rustic cabin in the woods, it was built on the site of an abandoned 19th century farm. |
The cabin was hand built from river and field rocks, and recycled timbers from the abandoned 19th century farm found onsite. |
The fieldstone foundation supports the Japanese inspired lines and exterior surface angles. In addition to the impressive stone work is the expressive use of cement stucco, and Cedar shingles. |
